Hey everyone! Just got back from an INSANE week at Computex 2024 in Taipei! This year’s show was an absolute tech paradise — wall-to-wall innovation, next-gen hardware, and some wild surprises I didn’t see coming. I roamed every inch of all four floors at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center and documented the best of the best in a YouTube series — but if you want the written breakdown, you're in the right place.
Let’s dive in, floor by floor.
Walking into Floor 1 felt like stepping into the future. The theme here was very clear: AI everything, and the kind of compute power that makes you question the limits of physics. From generative AI chips to data center-grade GPUs, the big players brought their A-game.
Key Highlights:
NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs – NVIDIA’s booth was packed, and rightfully so. Their new Blackwell GPU architecture is designed for hyperscale AI and LLM training. The performance-per-watt leap over Hopper is impressive — and with NVLink 5.0, data bandwidth is bonkers.
AMD Instinct MI325X – AMD fired back with their MI300 series refresh. The MI325X has double the memory capacity, and Lisa Su’s demo on AI inference was buttery smooth. AMD is clearly going after NVIDIA's datacenter dominance.
Intel Gaudi 3 – While not as flashy, Intel’s Gaudi 3 AI accelerators impressed me with a value-focused approach. They’re betting on price-performance, and it might just work for mid-tier AI deployments.
Floor 1 set the tone: AI is no longer emerging — it's dominating. It was all about compute density, energy efficiency, and scalability. If you’re into data centers, LLMs, or edge inference, this floor was heaven.

Floor 2: Gaming and Peripherals
Ah, now we’re talking! Floor 2 was gamer central — RGB lighting galore, high refresh rate monitors, and some of the sickest custom PC builds I’ve ever seen in person. This floor was pure eye candy, but also packed with real innovation.
Key Highlights:
ASUS ROG Ally X – ASUS unveiled a refreshed ROG Ally handheld with a bigger battery and improved thermals. I went hands-on and yes, it runs Elden Ring like a champ at 1080p.
Corsair Platform:6 Workstation Desk – I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by a desk, but Corsair’s new motorized, modular battle station is a dream. Integrated power, cable routing, and customizable layouts? Chef’s kiss.
MSI MAG 321URX QD-OLED Monitor – This monitor stole the show for me. QD-OLED, 240Hz, 4K resolution, and NVIDIA G-Sync. It looked ridiculously good — probably the best gaming monitor of the show.
Overall, this floor had serious “showroom” vibes. Everyone from Razer to Cooler Master came to flex. The trend? Premium materials, better cooling, and a clear shift toward high-end, multitasking gaming setups.

This floor was where the PC building nerd in me truly thrived. If you're into motherboards, PSUs, and exotic cooling setups, Floor 3 had your name written all over it.
Key Highlights:
Noctua NH-D15 G2 – Noctua finally dropped the long-awaited NH-D15 successor, and it’s a beast. Dual towers, asymmetrical fin-stack, better RAM clearance — and yes, still rocking that classic brown-and-beige aesthetic.
Lian Li DAN Cases A3-mATX – Lian Li’s compact mATX case took modularity to the next level. It supports horizontal GPU mounting without risers and has airflow tuned for small form factor power builds.
Thermaltake Pacific W9 D5 Plus – Thermaltake showed off an all-new distro plate with integrated D5 pump and digital RGB. It’s made for wall-mounted loops and looks like tech art.
The big theme on this floor? Efficiency and flexibility. A lot of manufacturers are designing around compact builds and thermal performance, especially for high-wattage GPUs and next-gen CPUs.

Floor 4: IoT and Embedded Systems
Floor 4 might not be as flashy, but it was the quiet MVP. This was where startups, edge compute companies, and industrial tech vendors showed off what’s next for smart homes, smart cities, and embedded AI.
Key Highlights:
ASRock Industrial 4x4 BOX-7735U – Tiny but mighty. This Ryzen-powered mini-PC is perfect for digital signage or industrial control. Lots of IO, very low power draw.
Advantech Edge AI Modules – Advantech is going all-in on edge AI with modular Jetson Orin boards. Perfect for automation and robotics — and they even demo’d real-time object detection.
Seeed Studio reTerminal DM – A rugged, touchscreen Linux device that feels like a Raspberry Pi tablet on steroids. Devs and makers, this is your new toy.
IoT here isn’t just sensors and buzzwords — it’s becoming practical, scalable, and intelligent. I had great convos with founders building everything from AI traffic cams to smart farming solutions.

Final Thoughts
Computex 2024 blew me away. Every floor had a different personality — from the high-stakes AI race on Floor 1 to the RGB wonderland of Floor 2, the builder’s paradise on Floor 3, and the quiet revolution happening on Floor 4.
My biggest takeaway? The lines between consumer, prosumer, and industrial tech are blurring fast. AI is becoming embedded in everything, and customization is king — whether you're building rigs or designing systems for the edge.
Thanks for tagging along! Be sure to check out the full YouTube series and drop a comment on what you want me to dive deeper into next. Taipei — see you in 2025!
